Today’s Chart of the Day is from Dr. Torsten Slok of Apolo Global Management with data from the International Energy Statistics. It shows that in 2023 the US was the largest producer of oil in the world, followed by Russia, Saudi Arabia and Canada.
With the rest of the world only producing 23 million barrels combined, that means that the US produced 22% of all the oil in the world, equating to one out every five barrels.
