Chart of the Day: US Almost 50% of the World

Today’s Chart of the Day from Torsten Slok with Apollo shows that the United States now makes up almost 50% of the world’s total stock market value. This is up from a low of 27% during the Great Recession in 2008. This growth is the result of a combination of free trade, capitalism, and our rule of law that many other countries do not have.
