Today’s Chart of the Day from BlackRock shows the increasing use of Bond Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) in the US. Why? Many investors see them as more liquid and they often cost less. Since many bond ETFs are indexes, they routinely outperform other types of funds. As Senator James E. Watson famously said, “If you can’t beat them, join them,” which is what investors are doing. Still, each client's situation is unique and therefore their investment portfolio may need a diverse grouping of investments.
