Port Charlotte, Fla., June 28, 2024 - Crews Bank & Trust is once again among local businesses joining the Sunrise Kiwanis annual Shoes for Kids drive and serving as collection points for new sneakers to be distributed to Charlotte County students in need.
“Since 2009, our bank has been proud to participate in this important project,” said Craig DeYoung, Crews Bank & Trust Market President and treasurer of the Sunrise Kiwanis. “We’re thankful for the generosity of our customers and staff, and I know they’ll come through in a big way again this year.”
New tennis shoes will be accepted at all Charlotte County Crews Bank & Trust locations during banking hours. Lobbies at all branches are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. The shoe drive is scheduled to end on Friday, July 26.
Since its founding in 2007, more than 100,000 pairs of shoes have been given through this project. Shoes are delivered to all schools in the Charlotte County Public School System for children in grades pre-K through 12. Sizes needed range from toddler size 7 to woman’s size 11 and men’s size 15.
