Port Charlotte, Fla., January 18, 2024 - Crews Bank & Trust is pleased to announce that Kris Proudfoot has joined the bank as a Residential Loan Originator, filling the role recently vacated by Connie Richhart, who retired after more than 40 years in residential lending. Born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, Proudfoot has been a full-time resident of Florida since April 2020, currently residing in Punta Gorda. Before joining Crews Bank & Trust, she worked locally at another financial institution.
“When Connie announced she was retiring, my first thought was how difficult it would be to find someone to fill her shoes,” said Craig DeYoung, Market President. “We are thrilled that Kris, with more than 25 years of mortgage lending experience, has joined our team. Kris not only has the necessary experience but also lives our culture of service, integrity, community, and teamwork.”
Proudfoot was recognized as the Charlotte-DeSoto Building Industry Association (CDBIA) Associate Member of the Year 2022, she serves as Chair of the CDBIA Professional Women in Building (PWB), an organization dedicated to supporting education, professional development, and networking opportunities to help members acquire and develop leadership and business management skills to boost career success. She is also an Ex-Officio member of the CDBIA Board of Directors and is active in the Charlotte County Chamber, serving as a director.
When asked about her job, Proudfoot said, “I love that Crews Bank & Trust is a true family-owned community bank making quick and local decisions with no surprises.”
In her spare time, Proudfoot enjoys golfing and participating in community events with friends. She is based at the Murdock branch, located at 1100 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte.
