Rob Roberts Named Market President for Highlands County

Highlands County, Fla., May 22, 2024 – Rob Roberts, Senior Commercial Banker, Senior Vice President, will be named Crews Bank & Trust Market President for Highlands County following the May 31 retirement of Donna McKown, Heartland Area Market President.

“Each area of Florida has unique needs,” shared Larry McLaren, Chief Banking Officer. “As a local, community bank, it is our duty to meet these needs as they arise. By splitting our previously large Heartland Area Market into three distinct markets, we will be able us do just that.”

Roberts joined the Bank in May of 1996 after a 10-year career as a US Army Officer and Cobra & Apache Attack Helicopter Pilot. Roberts continued to serve as a reserve army officer until his honorable discharge in 2018.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Ridle Aeronautical University. He also attended the Harvard Business School course on management and the Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida.

Born in Highlands County and raised in Wauchula, Roberts and his wife, Donna, have resided in Highlands County for 28 years, since his exodus from the Army. He has served the area since the opening of the Sebring branch in 2000.

The branches that will be included in the Highlands County Market include:

- The Lake Placid branch, 102 E. Interlake Boulevard

- The Sebring branch, 1385 US Highway 27 S.

“I am incredibly honored to be leading this region. The high standards of service our customers have come to expect are not changing,” shared Roberts. “I look forward to continuing to grow and nurture what has been entrusted to me.”

“Rob has been a strong part of the community for many years and will continue to uphold the Bank’s purpose of building relationships that span generations,” shared McKown. “Though my time at the bank is coming to a close, my relationships with employees, customers, and our communities will be something I always cherish.”

Andrew Foreman will be named Market President for Polk County, and Justin Fussell, current Market President for DeSoto County, will also lead Hardee County.

Roberts can be reached at rroberts@crews.bank or 863-386-6211.
